Peter Green, born as Peter Allen Greenbaum (London East End, October 29, 1946), is without doubt one of the biggest names in the the British blues History. It is no coincidence he replaced Eric Clapton in John Mayall Bluesbrakers. That happened in '67 and they immediately released the classic blues traditional A Hard Road out.
After having played for one year in the Bluesbrakers Green started a new band with bassplayer John McVie and drummer Mick Fleedwood, this band was called Fleedwood Mac. The group scores immediately with superhits such as Need your love so bad, Albatross, Oh well, Rattlesnake Shake and The Green Manalishi.
Green left the group after a few years and lives a rather turbulent life.
